RES4Africa Training Course “Policy Responses to Climate Change: Sustainable Development and Energy Transition”

RES4Africa in partnership with the Italian Ministry of Environment and the Ethiopian Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change organized a 4-day training course in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on “Policy Responses to Climate Change: Sustainable Development and Energy Transition” to support Ethiopia in implementing and monitoring INDCs.

The training was directed to 100 federal and regional Climate Resilient Green Economy (CRGE) sector officers who benefitted from an insights exchange on managerial and technology issues related to the realization of Climate Resilient Green Economy Strategies.

The course agenda included topics such as climate change mitigation and adaptation strategies, project design & development, access to International finance, MRV of GHG emissions in line with UNFCCC guidelines, clean energy technology assessment, transport & industry, renewable energy for industrialization and job creation.

RES4Africa members professors from Politecnico di Milano, Politecnico di Torino, Bocconi University, Rina Consulting and Bonelli Erede participated as part of the teaching body sharing their knowledge and expertise.
